You’ve finished your tanning routine and you’re admiring your gorgeous glow when suddenly you notice a patch or steak of uneven tan on your hands or feet. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there!

To help you out, we’ve put together a handy guide on removing self-tan from your hands and feet, so next time you notice those dreaded patches on your wrists, or streaks on your ankles, you’ll know exactly what to do.

Using Bondi Sands Tan Eraser

The easiest way to remove tan from your hands instantly is with our Bondi Sands Tan Eraser, which removes stubborn self tan in minutes without excessive exfoliation. Explore our tips and tricks below for the most effective way to get rid of your tan fast and fix any self tanning mishaps.

Step 1 - Exfoliate Your Hands Or Feet

An essential part of your pre-tanning routine, exfoliating will also help to smooth out any uneven patches or streaks after you’ve tanned. Simply grab your Bondi Sands Exfoliation Mitt and use circular motions to lightly rub away any unwanted patches. Remember not to scrub too hard if you only want to even out your tan, not remove it!

Bondi Tip: If your tan is extra stubborn, exfoliate using a small amount of body polish or oil. This will help to soften the tan, making it easier to smooth and even out.

Step 2 - Erase Unwanted Tan Streaks

If your tan is still looking a little uneven on your hands or feet after you’ve exfoliated, grab our revolutionary Self Tan Eraser and apply it to the areas that are still looking too dark. Leave the product on for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water or wipe with a damp cloth to reveal an even, streak-free tan. Easy!

Bondi Tip:Remember to remove the Self Tan Eraser after a few minutes if you only want to even out your tan, not take it all off.

Step 3 - Moisturize & Smooth

Once your hands and feet are looking flawless, make sure you moisturize them regularly. This will keep them feeling super smooth and will also help to prolong the life of your tan. Our tan friendly Body Moisturizer deeply nourishes and hydrates the skin, making it the perfect way to maintain your glow.

Bondi Tip:If your hands start to fade, apply Bondi Sands Liquid Gold to give your tan a quick boost.

Home Remedies For Removing Tan From Your Hands & Feet

If you don't have any of our Tan Eraser to hand, don't panic! There are a few at-home remedies you can try to remove tan from your hands and feet or sort out streaks.

Using Oils & Exfoliators

Grab abody scrub, body polish or exfoliator, mix with bath or body oil then gently apply.

Do this slowly and repeat as needed - it can take a few applications depending on how much fade you want.

This works well as the oil breaks down the colouring in your self tan whilst the exfoliator gets rid of dead skin and removes colour.

An alternative method is to fill a bowl or sink with warm water,  add oil and soak your hands or feet for a couple of minutes. Then use an exfoliator to evenly remove the tan.
