A. SPF or ‘Sun Protection Factor’ is a rating that refers to the amount of UV protection the product is providing compared to unprotected skin. For example, broad spectrum sunscreens with SPF 60 block more than 98.3% of UV, whereas an SPF 30 blocks 96.7% of UV. While SPF 30 is certainly better than no SPF at all, the higher SPF you wear, the more protected you are.
